RARE OBJET D'ART VASES
You are bidding on four iconic photographs of David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Lou Reed taken by the famous rock photographer Mick Rock printed over 6 Norwegian vases.
Our beautiful blue vases were designed by the world renowned, but short lived, London based design team of Mosley meets Wilcox.
These Rock Vases are very rare and not available anywhere as very few blue and white ones were made or ever sold publicly. A similar version of these vases (set of only 3) in orange were sold through the London designer Paul Smith (also not available anywhere).
“ I know talent when I see it ( and I've witnessed a sliver or two here and there.....), so when Mr Mosley and Mr Wilcox approached me...with a few notions of how to adapt my images to worldly goods, I felt that old familiar shiver. THE BACKGROUND
Mosley meets Wilcox meets Rock is a collection of objects created by Mosley meets Wilcox (Steve Mosley and Dominic Wilcox), inspired by the work of rock photographer Mick Rock and the world of rock music.
After a chance meeting with Mick Rock at one of his photo shoots, Steve Mosley and Dominic Wilcox started an investigation into the idea of creating a range of objects inspired by Mick Rock images. Over a series of weeks they met up with Mick Rock to show ideas, sketches and prototypes. The first preview exhibition of the collection was at the Hanbury Gallery in the East end of London (09/2004).

The 4 different views of these incredible images are shown in the photographs below. The vases are in new condition and have never been used or displayed.
