Rare uk black/silver parlophone issue in original G&L flip-back cover. Not the uk yellow/black label very first pressing but a brilliant alternative in really great clean condition.

This is a really excellent rare example of 'Deep Purple's' brilliant 1968 uk psych-rock debut album. The vinyl has been very well looked after and is in EX+ clean condition with just a few of the lightest wispy marks/hairlines, both sides play and sound superb throughout with barely any tics or light background crackle at all. This copy comes in the original 60's issue Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flip-back sleeve with purple back, this original flip-back sleeve is also is really excellent very clean and tidy condition. This is just a really superb uk copy that plays and sounds amazing and will not disappoint.

STEREO VINYL=EX+

The vinyl is in EX+ very clean condition with a very nice original sheen, there are no nasty surface marks at all, there are just a few very light signs of use, a few very faint wispy top surface marks and a few hard to spot light hairlines that have no effect on play. All tracks play superb with a brilliant clear and crisp sound quality that is free of distortion, this album plays very close to mint with barely any surface crackle and pops at all. This is just a brilliant clean playing copy that has been very well looked after and will definitely not disappoint.

EMI PARLOPHONE STEREO LABELS = EX+

Both black/silver parlophone labels are in EX+ very clean condition. These labels have the early 'Gramophone Co Ltd' rim text and the 'Made In GT Britain' text at the bottom. There are just a few light spindle traces on each side due to careful play otherwise they are just about perfect.

GARROD & LOFTHOUSE FLIP-BACK COVER = EX+

The Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated tri-flip-back sleeve is in really excellent clean condition. The front lamination is still very glossy and reflective, there are only a couple of lamination shifts otherwise the front is in excellent clean and flat condition. The purple matt back is still in very clean and tidy condition, there is some extremely light barely noticeable storage wear otherwise the back is very near perfect. The three flip-backs are in great condition with just a few small lamination shifts and creases on each. The top and bottom edges are just about perfect with no wear at all and the opening edge is still nice and sharp. The top/bottom pinched spine is in brilliant condition with no worn areas or defects and all text is very clear and easy to read. This superb looking flip-back cover has the original purple back as issued in the late 1960's, almost all silver/black label uk pressings came in a less attractive non-flip-back sleeve with a matt black back that was very prone to storage/ring wear. This original G&L flip-back cover is in really excellent condition with no bad faults at all.

EMI ADVERTISING INNER = EX

The EMI advertising inner sleeve is in excellent clean condition with minimal signs of ageing and some minor creasing, there are no splits or marks.

This is just a excellent rare very clean copy of Deep Purple's brilliant uk psych debut.

I pack my records very well, the album will be removed from the outer cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
