Description
Here’s an auction of a vintage Modern Sound LP titled “Draggin and Surfin.” Good title, for the songs include “Ride the Wild Surf,” “Little Honda,” “We Built a 409,” “Sidewalk Surfin’” and so forth. The LP is MS 536. The interior label states that the record is titled “Draggin and Surfin Vol. II,” but the songs are the same as stated on the sleeve. Info in the wax run-out includes: MA 208 6 (side one) and MA 208 7 (side 2). In addition, both sides appear to have “Nashville Matris” in script on them, plus a second set of numbers--XSBV100428-A and XSBV100429-A.
CONDITION
Sleeve’s major malfunction = top and bottom splits about 3/4ths the lengths of each. Front cover shows moderate wear; back shows soiling and a light water stain along sleeve lip. No inner sleeve.
Record (I have NOT played this—just visual)--Label shows spindle rubs at center; all details still readable. Scuffs and scrapes to vinyl = moderate. Will probably play with some random audible pops--I would imagine most Goldmine standards evaluators would put this into the G+ to VG- (visually) categories.
