Description

Up for sale is this Rockabilly Hall of Fame artist Danny Goode's first record on Gibson. It's Danny Goode "Let's Dance" b/w "Walking the Dog." This record was found in McKinney, TX, the home town of Danny Goode and the Excels. The record is graded VG. The label has the word "fast" written on the "Let's Dance" side and a name written on the "Walking" side. The "Let's Dance" label is very clean aside from the writing, minor ring wear, with the "Walking" side having a little more apparent ring wear. There are small areas where tiny bits of the label paper have been rubbed off/bent back around the hole as shown in the photos, as well as the small abrasions on the record surface, the more significant on the "Walking" side. The record can be heard here on YouTube.

"Let's Dance."

"Walking the Dog":

This 45 sounds great, overall. The surface noise is minimal and only apparent at the beginning and end "Let's Dance," and can be heard throughout "Walking the Dog." No pops noted, nor skips. We haven't seen any of these for sale since 2013, and personally will probably never run across one of these again. Happy rocking!!

P.S. The magazine shown in the first image is not included (nothing about the group is inside).

**Unless otherwise specified, items used for staging are not included.**

Store Policies:

Payment: Kindly remit payment within 3 days of auction close. Once payment has been received, the item will be promptly shipped. If you need a few extra days beyond the 3-day allotment to pay, we are friendly folks, but request you ASK PRIOR to bidding or making the purchase and we can discuss a reasonable and mutually agreeable payment date.

International sales: we typically only ship items within the United States. Other items may be available through the Global Shipping Program. Should you be an international bidder/buyer that is interested in an item, please contact us for a shipping quote or have a forwarding service lined up PRIOR to making a purchase, or we reserve the right to cancel the transaction and relist the item. Again, we are reasonable folks willing to make exceptions to our domestic-only shipping policies, but this must be set up in advance of purchase.

Shipping: we strive to provide fast service, with many items shipped the same day as the receipt of payment. Along with our desire to exceed expectations with speedy shipping, have confidence in knowing we pack carefully, some parcels taking an hour or more to pack. Our shipping fees may occasionally include an allotment for time and materials. We are happy to combine shipping, when possible. As of August 2016, we are no longer shipping on Saturdays, with exceptions being made for time-sensitive purchases and the Christmas season (for which we often ship multiple times per day). Additionally, all items $200 and over may require signature confirmation to be sure said item(s) safely reach your hands.

In an effort to help you save money on shipping now that increased USPS rates have gone into effect (Jan. 2016), we are offering a multitude of shipping options and providers.

Sales Tax: Fellow Texans, kindly note the addition of 8.25% sales tax to your purchase, which we must collect, per state law as a dealer. Thank you for your understanding.

Long-winded additional details:
