Description

An original 1st press of Aladdin Sane on the UK RCA label from 1973. Matrix 3T/3T. Please note the labels are perfectly consistent with 1st press and still mention 'Stereo' toward the top. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1st issue gatefold cover. Also included is the original card inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we could make out a number of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio quality really is very impressive and, I would imagine, nigh on impossible to better. Interference is practically non-existent. All we could detect was a couple of crackles momentarily right at the start of 'Time' and then precious little else even vaguely noticeable. It's a very nice clean playing copy..
Cover (Ex-) A real tricky one to find in clean condition due to the white textured unlaminated surface - it usually shows up a lot of problems. Not here, as this copy seems to have avoided ageing on the front. It's very clean with minimal handling. On the rear there is a small patch of foxing down in the bottom-right side, but it is minor. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is surprisingly light and all the text on the spine is all still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A lovely specimen.
Inner (Ex) Very nice. No splits. No major issues.
