MY DESCRIPTION OF THE RECORD AND COVER

RECORD COVER -  the cover is in EXCELLENT condition always stored upright - from a smoke free environment - there is some minor discoloration to the front and rear of the sleeve with some marks but overall in nice condition. all edges are nice and straight - all of the lettering on the spine is clear and legible - there is no damage to the spine. the sleeve is the first press matt sleeve and is made by Shorewood packaging. there are no splits along any edges. overall in very nice condition see photos.

the lp comes with its original inner lyric sleeve which is in excellent condition again no splits or nasty creases. the condition of the sleeves should be clear from the photos.

RECORD / VINYL -

play tested prior to listing - i have listened to it prior to listing and the sound on both sides is EXCELLENT +  - the lp retains does have some fine hairllines but plays EXCELLENT level on both sides.

RECORD LABELS

the labels are the first press glossy labels which ahave a light sheen - later pressings had the matt labels. 

catalogue and matrix numbers

the catalogue number on the sleeve is RS1001 (LSP 4852) the matrix number on side one is CPRY 4543 3T and on side two is CPRY 4544 3T  the labels have all of the catalogue and deadwax matrix number present on them which also highlights this is the first pressing.

Fanclub insert
 

the lp comes with its original fanclub insert which is the correct insert. i recently saw a copy of this lp sold for a large value with the wrong insert where the seller sort of pretended it was the correct one - you can tell this is correct as it has the correct photo of bowie from the album cover and the outline of bowie and song credits from the rear sleeve - its rare to find this and it is in really nice condition and has never been cut or filled in.

PLEASE NOTE the cost quoted for international shipping includes tracking and insurance - i am not prepared to send high value items via post particularly overseas without this -  it means we are both protected should any damage occur. this costs is for shipping via the UK royal mail i am not making money out of it -  it is charged at cost only - if you are not happy with the costs then dont bid - it is unfair to accept the cost, bid and then complain about the cost of shipping.

GRADING USED

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
