Description
David Bowie - David Bowie 1967 first press stereo laminated. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class, Special Delivery tracked and signed for.
First stereo pressing of David’s first album in really lovely condition. DERAM SML 1007. ZAL775 IW stamped both sides runout. “Laminated with Clarifoil”
Bought by myself in the mid 70s (not saying for how much but my Wembley 76 ticket was £2.75! those were the days)
Front cover in lovely condition laminated fully with a very small 4 mm lift to the bottom left corner where there a small crease, and similar to top right. These are not broken but do show opaqueness due to the minor separation. Very slight storage ridge to front and back covers. Back unlamented cover has two very minor defects - a little surface lift over ‘boy’ in ‘Silly Boy Blue’ and another on bottom left edge.
Lamination wraps around spine and onto back cover for half an inch.
The vinyl, heavyweight black, is very clean and unmarked bar two short light lines at end of side 2. There is no background crackle or hiss. one pop in Join the Gang and two pops in Love You Til Tuesday. No spindle wear to the bright and still fresh red and white Deram labels.
Vinyl housed in original poly lined blue printed white paper inner sleeve, slightly yellowed to edges through age.
Please study the photos of this prized Bowie item. This is truly a lovely copy.
From my private collection.
