Description

An original '72 USA RCA 1st of the Oddity title when RCA re-released this material to coincide with Bowie's meteoric rise. Matrix 3S/3S. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover which mentions 'Mercury' in the bottom right on the front - and does NOT mention 'Mainman' top right on the rear. We also have the original bespoke inner too.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A lot of fussy acoustic sections on this title. Don't risk a 50/50 copy - make sure you get a clean player like this one. I can assure you - it has to play clean! ..otherwise any background will quickly irritate with this title. Hard to find fault - just a couple of minor [isolated] ticks per side. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) Looking better than most original copies. Usually this title will exhibit surface wear front and rear. No signs of surface wear, here, just a couple of crease. Minimal edge wear and firm openings. The spine is 99% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) A one inch bottom edge split. But there is no evidence of ageing.
