Description

This auction consists of two 7" vinyl singles and a bonus unused blue DCFC promotional sticker from their debut album "Something About Airplanes."

Both records were bought brand new directly from Barsuk Records at the time of their release around 1999-2000. The records and their packaging are in excellent, like new condition. They have been played very little, if at all, I can't recall if my record player had already broken by the time I got these. I have been meaning to buy a new record player for forever, but now it's time to clean out my collection!

From some of the reading I've done on the internet, I believe these may be two of the rarest DCFC vinyl releases, Prove My Hypothesis being the clear vinyl pressing (as opposed to the black vinyl). The amazing Secret Stars cover of "Wait" on the B Side of Prove is probably my favorite thing DCFC ever recorded.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE
Prove My Hypothesis b/w Wait
7" CLEAR Vinyl

SIDE A: "Prove My Hypothesis"
SIDE B: "Wait" (Secret Stars cover)

Produced and recorded by Chris Walla @ The Hall of Justice- Spring 1999

DEATH CAB FOR FIVER
7" Black Vinyl
(This one is actually 33rpm)
NUMBERED PRINTING 318 out of 500

SIDE A: "Spring Break Broke"
SIDE B: "Sleep Tight"

This record is a limited release of devil in the woods records + barsuk records c2000

FYI: Death Cab For Fiver was a 2 song collaboration between DCFC and the band Fiver, all members of both bands appearing on both songs. There is a detailed explanation of the events and recording process behind this record in the liner notes.
