Description

A genuine very 1st press of 'In Rock' on the UK Harvest label. Matrix 2/1. Stampers 1R/1H - placing this copy amongst the first few thousand copies ever pressed. Please note labels are consistent with very 1st press - 'Gramophone' still appears in the perimeter text and there's NO Emi logo apparent. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included is the original Harvest inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In impressive condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A great rendition with even 'Child In Time' playing nice and clean. Interference is very limited and infrequent. All I could make out were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. A beautifully preserved very early copy. Please note one of the labels has been neatly signed.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Very nice clean front without the creasing and laminate lift you often find. The rear looks great too with just a couple of thumbnail creases. The interior looks superb and does not appear to have aged like so many other examples. Edge wear is light for this title. There's precious little wear on the spine and the text is all legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. But no splits....
