Description

An original 1st issue of 'Made In Japan' on the Purple label whilst still charting. Matrix 1/1/2/1. Etchings Peckie/Delta Pork/Porkie. Stampers 1-HD/2-MO/2-CH/5-LH. Very first pressing would of course have been 1/1/1/1, but this pressing would have been available whilst MIJ was still charting. The official 2nd pressing is easily identified by the fact that they forgot to mention the album title on the labels [i.e. No "M.I.J." !], and this copy definitely pre-dates a 2nd press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold. Also included are both original inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In stunning condition and have clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - but nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. MIJ is an absolute classic and you really shouldn't short change yourself with anything other than a top quality early pressing. And this copy really does this LP proper justice - top level reproduction and amazing detail [And it's live!]. Interference is minimal - all we detected was a touch of light static in a couple of spots [literally] e.g. Just momentarily in 'Child In Time'. One of the best renditions I've ever experienced of this classic LIVE LP..
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Nice shiny front and back with just some light ring wear. No significant issues at all - it really is superbly preserved. Please note there's a couple of numbers written inside the opening of the rear pocket [not really visible unless you look inside the pocket]. The text on the spine is still intact. Overall the cover retains great rigidity. A very fine example.
