This is a stunning original 1968 stereo pressing of 'Autumn' by Don Ellis and His Orchestra, released on the iconic Columbia Records label (CS 9721). Produced by Al Kooper, this album is a masterclass in progressive Big Band Jazz, featuring Ellis's signature use of complex time signatures and innovative quarter-tone trumpet. The record features the classic Columbia '360 Sound' red label with white lettering, a hallmark of late 1960s high-fidelity pressings.
