Description

This is the original pressing of Donald Byrd "Byrd's Eye View" on Transition J-4. A needle drop at the end of Track 1, Side 1 produces some light tics; otherwise, the playing surface is in near-new condition; both labels are present, though unattached (typical of all Transition pressings, where the labels did not adhere to the vinylite compound). The laminated cover is bright and clean throughout; rubbing and small areas of flaking along the spine, but no splitting; ¼" wear to bottom seam, at the opening. There is no booklet. Personnel includes Hank Mobley, Joe Gordon, Horace Silver, Doug Watkins, and Art Blakey.
