Description
This is the original pressing of Donald Byrd “On Beacon Hill” on Transition TRLP 17. The flat rim playing surface is in near new condition, with a high luster, perhaps played once; however, there are three tiny pits, one of which, on the first track of Side B, makes three light tics; another towards the end of the second track of Side A makes a single light tic; and the last near the beginning of the last track on Side A makes four light tics. Typical of Transition pressings, both labels are included but detached from the record. The laminated frame cover is in extraordinary condition – clean and bright throughout – with just 1/8” wear on the top and bottom seams, at the opening. Original glassine inner sleeve and 12-page booklet are included. Personnel include Ray Santisi, Doug Watkins, and Jim Zitano. $1000.00.
