Description
Thanks for your interest. Here is a very nice copy of the Doors' last album 'L.A. Woman', which was released as Elektra EKS-75011 in 1971. This is an earlier press, because it's in the 'Kodachrome' slide configuration: the image of the band members is printed in black and white on a thin sheet of clear plastic; the album jacket is in the shape of a slide; and the liner is yellow, which contrasts with the image of the band. On the back of the liner is a crucifixtion image. The vinyl appears on the Elektra butterfly label.
This is not the very earliest of presses, because there is a sticker on the front side of the liner that was originally affixed to the jacket. It says: 'Includes The Hit Single 'Love Her Madly''.
Here are some notes on the condition; please let me know if you'd like more detail:
Labels: Fully intact with no wear.
Vinyl: Clean, flat, plays through with a small amount of surface noise. No visible surface scratching.
Jacket: Fully intact; very light corner wear. No splits. Inner edge of 'slide' shows a small amount of wear.
All in all a very nice piece.
