Hello, up for sale is a great copy of the Doors Strange Days album in the exceedingly rare MONO format! As I'm sure you know, when this album came along in 1967, record companies were issuing virtually all of their popular albums in stereo, with the result that very few albums were issued in mono, making it a challenge to obtain for the Doors collector who wants a complete collection of their favorite artist. As for the album up for sale, the cover and vinyl both fall into that "almost near mint but not quite category." The cover has the slightest touch of ringwear (you can only see it when you tilt it in the light), the writing on the spine is clear, no splits or tears, the front and back graphics are sharp. The corners are tight, but do have a slight bit of rub, as does the top and bottom of the cover edges. Call it VG+++! The vinyl is one of those strange ones (no pun intended on the record's title track) - it actually looks close to mint - lots of luster, clean, no deep marks or scratches. But, while it looks close to mint, there is the occasional pop and click (mostly between tracks), so I'd have to call it a near mint visual copy that plays VG+++. Importantly, this album comes with its unique inner sleeve (only issued with this album), which is in near mint shape. Considering its age and rarity, this is a record that is in a great condition that most collectors would be proud to have in their collection. I have stored this album carefully in my smokefree home since I bought it years ago, and have kept the vinyl in a separate cardboard sleeve to better protect the original cover (which I also store in its own plastic outer sleeve protector).
