Starting in January, I will be listing most of my personal collection until all collectible records are sold. What does not sell will be later donated to charity as I am leaving the hobby after collecting for 48 years. I sincerely hope that all my prized records will go to the most avid of collectors like I have been all these years and that they will be proudly owned and well treated.

ELVIS PRESLEY – ELVIS IS BACK! (LSP-2231) RARE TAN LABEL COPY! BOTH RECORD AND COVER ARE IN HIGH GRADE!

RECORD: VG+ with beautiful glossy surfaces! However, there is a group of light needle scratches involving Side 2, Tracks 4 & 5, which do not cause any skips or repeats. There are just a few subtle “ticks” that do not distract from the audible performance. When you casually view this record, it appears brand new! The Tan labels are simply gorgeous with just a light spindle mark on the Side 2 label. This album was originally released in April of 1960, just one month after Elvis’ return from the Army. These Tan Label copies were pressed for just a very short time in small numbers in 1975-76, hence their rarity. The matrix numbers end with 15S/10S.

COVER: VG++ (EXC) gatefold with a trivial amount of ring wear/surface scuffing present. The cover has the feel of one that has just recently had the shrink wrap torn off from it! However, there are minor bumps to three of the corner tips as well as some wear to the upper and lower edges. The original “ELVIS’ Great LP Catalog” (54C) inner sleeve is included.

I strongly believe that my grading of records is spot-on, but we’re all human and something may occasionally be missed upon inspection. I will do my best to ensure customer satisfaction.

All records are shipped in the correct cardboard folding mailers with the record separated from the cover, then inserted together within a clear polyvinyl sleeve, then sandwiched between two sheets of cardboard filler pads within the mailer to ensure optimum protection.
