EVERYWHERE CHAINSAW SOUND 2 Various Artists 63/190

Rare opportunity to acquire this highly limited second vinyl volume of rare garage sounds from the French Chainsaw Sound Records (CSR), an obscure label run by Jean-Luc Valdant of Beaucourt. Released in 1983, the disc was purchased new by Julian Cope from New York City's midtown Midnight Records, thereafter being kept safe in a thick, clear polythene bag. For those manic garage collectors' information, the punky, handmade sleeve of this second volume is even better than the that of first volume, by the way. Better still, both sides have just been played through and sound extremely clean and excellent still. The record exhibits a superbly loud cut, by the way, and no pops, crackles or jumps whatsoever.
