 The Beatles
'White Album' Reel-to-Reel
DTA-PMC 7067/8
WITH SPELLING MISTAKES IN TRACK LISTING
W-O-W
(See all the pictures below...loads of them!)

Well Beatles fans, here's a really rather rare object up for sale....
THE ORIGINAL MONO RECORDING OF THE ICONIC BEATLES' WHITE ALBUM
This little beauty was released in 1968 and contains the true MONO mix of the album.

The all-round condition is very good indeed, let me explain the following parts of the whole package as I see it here infront of me:

The Tape: It is the large 5" version of the reel-to-reel tape as opposed to the Beatles' other albums, which were on 4" spools.
The red and white leaders are still present and in wonderful shape, WITHOUT any trimming.
Still perfectly legible:
"THE BEATLES-Double Album UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, BROADCASTING AND COPYING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED"

(then follows...)
.   Track 1   .
.   Speed 33 3/4 I.P.S  .
.  DTA-PMC.  7067/8  .
.  APPLE (AN E.M.I. RECORDING)  .
MADE IN GT.BRITAIN

The above is then repeated twice and stuck with white tape to the tape itself...I have included a picture of this.
At the start of the tape there is the ORIGINAL rounded end leader tape, supplied by EMI to aid in the loading of the tape.

The Reel: It is the larger 5" reel, needed to house a double album. I cannot find ANY CRACKS, just very gentle marks to her and she still has her shine from the day she was born.
The "EMI Tape" sticker to the central part of the spool is also intact and is on BOTH sides and free from any writing.
Just poking up from the centre of the spool is a tiny bit of the red end section of the tape.

The Tape: I do not have a reel-to-reel player, unfortunately, but as far as I can see the tape is tightly wrapped and I CANNOT see any defects....without cringling or wrinkling.

The Case: It is the ORIGINAL JEWEL case, with the front-ended tab and a central 'nipple' to keep the spool in place.
NO broken hinges-still opens as it did the day it was sold.
Does have a small crack to the front and corner, a small chip to the lip of two corners and light scuffing throughout-she has been played and not locked away for 43 years ;)
Still clicks shut.
VERY CRITICAL!
*PLEASE SEE THE DETAILED IMAGES FOR YOURSELVES AND READ MY FEEDBACK FOR FAIR GRADINGS*

The Inner: LOVELY! What an inner, not only is it the original MONO inner, but it also carries 2 spelling mistakes!
"PIGGIEST" (Rather than Piggies)
&
"RACOON" (Rather than RACCOON)
NO number embossed to the front.
Still lovely and white with very nice corners. Only has light rubbing near the spine and a gentle crease which doesn't go all the way to the top.
Light eveidence of the housing of the spool for the past 43 years-really nothing to mention at all!
NO WRITING OF ANY KIND-ANYWHERE!

So, there you have it-A VERY RARE PIECE OF BEATLES HISTORY, on a format you rarely see. She really is a beauty to look at, I just wish I could play her!

FREE POSTAGE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD
(I would recommend insurance-at your own cost)

Thanks and good luck!
