These albums have some of the greatest oldies from the 50’s and 60’s-mostly early 1960’s that I have come across in a long time. Angel Baby by Rosie and the Originals, a very rare “I Need Your Love” by the Metallics, music by the Chantals, Brenton Wood, Barbara Lewis, Barbara Mason, The Five Satins, The Delfonics, Little Anthony, The Mello Kings, The Casinos, Jimmy Clanton, and many, many others. The albums average 12 songs per album so you have about 144 oldies. The condition of covers for the first 6 or 7 albums is not good, they are dirty, some separated at the seams—the last 4 or 5 albums, 8 through 12 are in excellent condition, look almost new. The records themselves look really good, some do not seem to have been played. I do not have a record player and that is the only way to guarantee that all the records are as good as they look, but I did not see scratches or any warping. If you listened to KTLA (I think that was the radio station-and a DJ who’s first name was Art back in the 60’s and 70’s, this is the type of music he played! There are groups on hear and artists that I do not remember-and I don’t have a record player that works-I would like to see if I remember them after I heard the song. This collection is unlike any others I have seen or purchased in the past. This is a NO RESERVE auction.
