Description
For sale: A STEREO pressing of a very rare UK LP You'll Never Walk Alone from 1971. Note that the catalogue number of this record is CDS-1088 as opposed to CDM-1088.The record has a suberb sleeve, different from any other pressings of this lp with great shot from the 1968 special rehearsals.
In 1971, RCA in the UK manufactured this LP for export only. The small batch of records was then sent to Scandinavia to be sold, but for some reason were retrieved back. However some were already sold, and an example of those copies is what I have for sale today.
The record and the cover are in a very good condition, I would say the vinyl is flawless and looks like it has never been played. The cover has three stickers (visible in the photos) that I have not dared to try to remove. In the back cover photo it seems that there is tape in the right side of the cover, but it actually is part of the original lamination, which seemed to be a technique when manufacturing lp sleeves in those days.
The record and cover will be in a protective plastic sleeve.
It's rare to see these for sale even anywhere in the Net, and when they are, the prices tend to be between 100 and 200 USD. I'm setting the starting price very low with a modest Buy It Now too. I will send the LP via Air Mail for 12 USD to anywhere in the world. Insurance etc. would be extra.
On Mar-07-12 at 11:50:40 PST, seller added the following information: It seems that I did not succeed in adding the BuyItNow when I listed this item. And unfortunately I cannot add it at this point anymore, or at least that's what I gathered from the Ebay help info. Anyway, that means that the highest bidder wins in the end, without a shortcut in getting the item sooner than the end date. That's as simple as that. :) Anyway, good luck bidding.price rating
