***In Truly Excellent condition Elvis Presleys 1962 original Silver Spot vinyl LP POT LUCK. RD-27265.British edition.
***Presley was the Top of the Tops in Britain in 1962 when this original LP Pot Luck was issued.Elvis was to have 4 no 1 hits in Britain that year,"Good Luck Charm" " She's Not You" " Return to Sender" and the double A sided " Can't help falling in love"/"Rock a Hula Baby". The film " Blue Hawaii" had been Presley's highest grossing film to date also producing a smash hit album of the Soundtrack of the film that it appeared to be in the album charts for ever.Two other films were screened to packed houses that year too "Follow That Dream" & "Kid Galahad" so the release of the album "Pot Luck" was sure to produce another big hit and it did.
***Beautifully recorded [mainly in Nashville] earlier that year and a few tracks in 1961 the album produced some superb Ballads with only a little Rock n Roll.
***The ballad "Suspicion" should have been a single release for Elvis that year but someone missed the opportunity and a huge hit was missed.Terry Stafford would take it into the U.S Top ten in 1962 after he heard the Presley version.
It would finally be released in Britain as a Elvis single in 1976 and became a smash hit even then. The song "Kiss Me Quick" would be released as a single in Britain the following year [1963] and would be a top 20 hit."Gonna get back Home Somehow" was a fine 1960's rocker and showed just how good Presley still was at Rock n Roll in the 1960's [but somehow did so little of it]
