Description
This is an auction for an Original copy of the HARD TO FIND 1956 DOUBLE EP release ELVIS PRESLEY - released in the USA.
The records themselves (EPB 1254 dog on top) are in VERY GOOD condition retaining some of it's natural sheen with some visible marks/scratches ( nothing that can be felt though)
The centre labels have some ringwear / rubbing and there is a plaster on one side (see photos)
The THICK GATEFOLD CARDBOARD picture sleeve is much sought after and was listed in a U.S guide book back in 2012 as $200-225 in the condition it is in now (which i would say is VERY GOOD+ ) for the sleeve alone!!!
This hard to find gatefold sleeve is 62 years old and is in nice condition for the age.
The sleeve is incorrectly printed on the back slick as the track listings are the wrong way round for sides 2 and 3. They are listed in the correct order on the inner gatefold of the sleeve. (seer photos)
There are NO RIPS, TEARS or WRITING (see photos)
The only things that stop this from grading even higher is some light ringwear/creases/scuff marks , partial seam splits on the bottom and some staining/age discolouration/spotting. (see photos)
That said , This is a really affordable addition to fill any collection until that Mint $400 records and sleeve come along.
The record is also stored in a separate paper sleeve to prevent anymore wear to this RARE sleeve!!
Overall 2 years ago this was valued at approx. $250+(£200 approx) .
I dont have a current price guide but i would say at least £210.
With a LOW START and NO RESERVE you might be able to grab yourself a bargain!!!
