1968 UK 1st pressing,STEREO REPRISE RSLP 6312
A classic UK psych masterpiece rarely seen and very sought after among collectors.
COVER: Single,front laminated,flipback sleeve with printer credit Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending.Comes with original STEREO RSLP sticker notification in front of 6312 release nr.
Glossy,shiny,remarkably clean frontcover with lamination almost intact except a couple of very weak wrinkles-stunning condition.Spine 100% intact,robust,clean with razor sharp edges,text complete and fully readable,superb!All cover's edges straight & sharp as new. Tiny letters-PHIL- (almost invisible) written by pen on backcover,upper left corner.Small piece of lamination missing on backcover's right flip-nothing serious.GRADE: close to EX+
INSERT: original insert with FAMILY band picture.NO lettering at all,NO tears,only a very small crease on lower right corner hence, GRADE: EX+
INNER SLEEVE: original REPRISE inner sleeve with DISTRIBUTED BY PYE RECORDS(SALES) LTD. A.T.V. HOUSE,a couple of minor tears in opening.
RECORD: UK 1st pressing with tricoloured REPRISE "steamboat" labels.Matrix run-out:RSLP 6312-A2G /side 1, RSLP 6312-B1G/side .Deep sheen and glossy vinyl surfaces,astonishingly good for a vinyl aged 46 years.Minor hairlines,only a tiny "deep" hairline on Side 2 NOT audible at all.GRADE: EX+
AUDIO LISTENING: Record on auction has been playing tested all through (NOT only visually ).Superb,flawless audio listening with vocals,harmonica,violin,cello & sax giving very crisp sound,sensational.Starting from track 1 -"The Chase" up to the end of Side 2-"3 x Time" record listening is a desire without skips,pops,ticks,clicks or surface noise.A .......keeper superb listening copy!!!
