TOP EXCELLENT+ (REALLY NICE clean with MINIMAL playwear and just a couple of VERY LIGHT surface handling marks on side one,plays great throughout with a great MONO reproduction.)

SLEEVEFront board and Inner Gatefold EX+ AS mentioned in the other Blue Horizon album I have listed this week this album came from a collection of someone who was compulsive about the preserving the condition of his records,which is something that can only be applauded,however compulsion does have its limits and this guy was prone to go overboard on occasions,this is one of those such occasions.In order to preserve them from even the lightest wear he used to put a thin piece of tape along the openings of his gatefold sleeves,which has had the effect of beutifully preserving the integrity of the sleeve,but in this day and age of unadulterated perfection this action has diminished the sleeve and not enhanced it,but even saying that the tape itself is so neat and unobtrusive that it could be mistaken,especially on the inner gatefold as being part of the manufacture itself.So starting with this in mind then,the outer laminate is spotless and is not far off the condition that you would have bought it home from the shops in,in 1968.There is no rubbing wear ringwear or pressure marking and just the lightest of creases.INNER GATEFOLD is clean and unmarked with no wear or user handling wear. Rear board EX+ AS front board. Flipbacks EX+ CLEAN and stuck fast with no lifting laminate cracking or peeling. Spine EX+ NICE and clean and uncrushed with no cracking and nice clear lettering Edges EX++ MINIMAL wear with NO rubbing wear or laminate loss Opening EX+ I suppose the opening is either MINT or VG depends how how full your glass is. Corners EX+ ALL 4 corners have extremely LIGHT wear,just a little bit of wear at the ends of the spine. INNER /EXTRAS

DETAILSAlthough it made number ten in the U.K., Fleetwood Mac's second album was a disappointment following their promising debut. So much of the record was routine blues that it could even be said that it represented something of a regression from the first LP, despite the enlistment of a horn section and pianist Christine Perfect (the future Christine McVie) to help on the sessions. In particular, the limits of Jeremy Spencer's potential for creative contribution were badly exposed, as the tracks that featured his songwriting and/or vocals were basic Elmore James covers or derivations.
Peter Green, the band's major talent at this point, did not deliver original material on the level of the classic singles he would pen for the band in 1969, or even on the level of first-album standouts like "I Loved Another Woman." The best of the lot, perhaps, is "Love That Burns," with its mournful minor-key melody and sluggish, responsive horn lines. Mr. Wonderful, strangely, was not issued in the U.S., although about half the songs turned up on its stateside counterpart, English Rose, which was fleshed out with some standout late-'60s British singles and a few new tracks penned by Danny Kirwan (who joined the band after Mr. Wonderful was recorded).
