Description
"Command Performance - Dick Tracy In B Flat" radio show transcription discs recorded by The American Broadcasting Company. One complete approximately 56 minute radio program on these two, 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated aluminum, 33 1/3 rpm discs. These discs were recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!
This was a special Command Performance radio program with an all star cast. The labels state "Audition", however I have compared these discs to the version that was issued on Curtain Call Records, and believe it is the same as the broadcast version - although the LP version is a condensed version of the program

During the show Dick Tracy (Bing Crosby) responds to a bank robbery by Flat Top (Bob Hope), Snowflake (Judy Garland) is kidnapped, Shaky (Frank Sinatra) escapes from jail, etc
Please note that due to their size, most standard turntables will not play 16 inch radio transcription discs. For $10 I can make a CD dub of both discs for the buyer only
Discs are in Excellent or Better Condition with Excellent or Better Sound, beautiful discs with beautiful sound! I can't imagine a finer sounding example of original transcription discs of this famous radio program!
