Issued by the Franklin Mint Recording Society, in a 50 volume (2 records per box) set, this entire classical record library was first announced on the 100th anniversary of Thomas Edison’s invention of the phonograph. These box sets were released over the course of four years, from 1978 to 1982. Each LP was pressed with a special vinyl formulation that enabled a clear, quiet playing surface on a more rigid (heavy weight) LP disc. Every record was pressed and processed in an atmosphere controlled “clean room.” using pure virgin "ruby red colored" vinyl. 

CAUTION:  This “Buy it Now” auction is for “49” volumes, as it is missing 2 records, #3 and #4 of the complete set.  For sale are records #1, #2, #5 thru #100. This is a “AS-IS” sale, the records cannot be returned for a refund. Please view all the pictures provided with the auction.  If you have any questions please contact me. 

Opened box/sets, with 2 records each, include the following record numbers: Record #: 1 & 2, 5 & 6, 9 thru 26, 37 & 38, 73 & 74, 81 & 82. Open box records are visually graded only, all look to be in “NM” condition.  Each box and its liner notes are in “Excellent” condition. 

Sealed box/sets with 2 records each include the following record numbers: Record #: 7 & 8, 27 thru 36, 39 thru 72, 75 thru 80, 83 thru 100.  Sealed box records are assumed to be unplayed and in “MINT” condition.  Each box and its liner notes are in “Excellent” condition.

Two additional box sets include:

1. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir – The Greatest Songs of Christmas. 2 record opened boxed set, records are in NM condition, visually graded.  Box and liner notes in “Excellent” condition. 

2. The Greatest Recordings of the Big Band Era – Harry James, Horace Heidt, Jack Jenny, Claude Hopkins. 2 record opened boxed set, record #3 & #4, records are in NM condition, visually graded.  Box and liner notes in “Excellent” condition.

The winning bidder will be responsible to pay for USPS media mail shipping to their mailing address listed in eBay. DISREGARD the eBay "Economy" shipping cost shown as part of the auction shipping details. Records will be shipped in three separate boxes.  Two of the boxes weigh approximately 38 pounds each and the third box weighs approximately 17 pounds.  So the estimated cost to ship two 38 pound boxes is $53 and the smaller one box is $17 so "estimated" grand total to ship the three boxes is $70.  Local pickup can be arranged but only for Los Angeles and Orange County regional areas.
