FREE TONS OF SOBS
Issue : UK RARE BLOCK PRESS      Label : ISLAND 
Catalogue No : ILPS 9089        Matrix : ILPS 9809 A2 / B2

This exceptionally rare UK press is on the early block Island label. It is complete with the early ILPS 9305 A2 / B2 matrix, heavy early vinyl, the original lyric inner sleeve and light sheen gatefold Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. There were only ever a handful of Tons Of Sobs pressed on this block label, making it far rarer than the original label.
The vinyl is in Excellent condition. There is a sensational jet black gloss and no sign of heavy play at all. There are just a couple of very faint hairlines. The labels are sensational, extremely clean with sharp text. There is just the slightest spindle wear. 

The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and clear. It still has the superb original clarity and separation throughout.


The original Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve is in Excellent condition. The image and text are sharp and are completely clean. The back of the sleeve is exceptionally bright and unworn, there is just the slightest edge wear. The sleeve is still extremely solid.
