Description

What I have is a copy of the mega rare UK first press of Genesis' 1969 debut album “From Genesis To Revelation” in MONO which also includes the even rarer insert lyric sheet, both in lovely condition for its age.

It is rumoured that there was only around 150 copies of the mono version pressed and has become the Holy Grail for many Genesis fans.

Catalogue number LK4990

Matrix numbers are ARL 8839 P-1B / ARL 8840 P-1B

This was left to me by my uncle who passed recently. I'm not a collector and will describe it as honestly as I can. I have taken lots of photos and will happily answer any questions you may have.

Considering this album is 45 years old, the cover is in very good condition with a nice gloss from the laminate, which does have a little laminate creasing on the front.

It shows ringing on both front and back which you can see in the photos.

Rear cover has the die-cut mono/stereo hole in lovely condition with the red showing from the inner sleeve.

The original Decca red bordered poly lined inner sleeve has no tears or issues and looks good for its age.

The original lyric insert has no creases or marks and is in lovely condition.

The lyric insert sheet is usually missing which makes this a rarer complete piece.

The only flaws I would say is that on the back cover, under the title there seems to be someone's name which has been rubbed off, but left a faint imprint

It also has faint imprint of what looks like the record being used to lean on whist writing something.  I have taken photos of these in the light so you can see it for yourself, as both are faint and only noticeable when angled at the light.

The vinyl itself has a nice sheen to it. It does have some light surface scratches and scruffs, but nothing deep or affecting playing the record. The sound itself is clean with some surface noise, especially over the quieter parts.

I can provide a sample recording of the actual record if you like.

If I have missed out anything you would like to know then please feel free to ask.

Ideally I only want to be selling this within the UK, but if you really are keen then please contact me first before bidding.
