Fela Ransome Kuti and His Koola Lobitos
A. Koola Lobitos Special B. Biko
This is a very very rare 45rpm 7" highlife single from Nigeria. Released in 1961 on Fela Ransome Kuti's own label RK. This is RK3. (of RK1-5)
The record is bright and clean with very few marks. I have played both sides once and it plays through with minimal pops and clicks, no skips on either side. The edge of the record has a minor warp, that can be seen in the photographs, this is in the run in grooves (silence) and the needle plays through it. I have a video of this, if needed. Therefore, the minor warp doesn't affect any music or play. For this reason I have graded the record VG overall... Without the minor edge warp, the sound is VG+ in my opinion. It's a very clean copy considering how rare it is. The label is clean, intact and with little wear, it has a small round sticker on one side and the name "HOWSE" written on both sides. The A side label has slight marks that can be seen in the photos.
No picture sleeve, the record will come in a plain sleeve.
This record is very rare, according to Discogs, only one other person holds a copy and a copy has never been sold. In that regard it is very hard to price. A copy of RK1 (3 copies on Discogs) sold for £600 in 2017. I have priced this high but have allowed offers.
