Description
FELT - Self titled - Mega rare 1971 Psych Monster on NASCO - 9006 (Original Pressing). Condition of the Cover is a STRONG VG+. No seam splits, spine is intact, slight ring wear. The only thing dropping this to a VG+ level is the name "Dana" written on the upper right front and back as well as some tape that was once used to seal the opening I guess. Very little smudge marks that can removed with care.
Record condition is a strong VG+. This is not a mint copy...it does have some marks on both sides, but no deep scratches. The labels are mint with almost zero spider marks around center. Graded under bright 200w light. Record plays through beautifully with minimal surface noise...a real clean and glossy copy that you won't be disappointed with.
Felt were five guys from Alabama lead by a 17 year old guitarist by the name of Mike Jackson. He wrote the music and was lead guitarist on the whole thing. The book Fuzz, Acid and Flowers states, "Their album, which is full of good guitar work and fine vocals, has become a very rare collector's item" The book Acid Archives states, "Excellent teenage vocals and a wide-ranging spectrum of influences including late Beatle-psych, west coast jamming and early 1970's hardrock. A Solid album that goes from Beatlesque pop to bluesy hard rock, this one gets everything right." I couldn't have said it better...this album really rocks.
