Fire - Fathers Name Is Dad c/w Fathers Name Is Dad.
Original UK 45 issued in 1968 by Decca Records (F 12753).
This Previously Undocumented Decca Records Test Pressing features "Fathers Name Is Dad" on both sides, matrix numbers are DR 41268 T2-1C DR 41268 T2-2C which would suggest they are different versions but appear to be the same.
It's a well documented fact that when The Beatles were in the process off setting up Apple, in early 1968, Paul McCartney heard the single and wanted to publish it through Apple but insisted it be re recorded, I can only guess this copy was pressed for approval by Apple prior to securing the publishing deal with them, fascinating stuff but still a bit of a mystery !!
