Description

Father's Name is Dad / Treacle Toffee World by The Fire. Extremely Rare 1968 Seven inch Vinyl Single.  The Single is on The Decca Label. Both sides were written by Dave Lambert who became a member of The Strawbs in the 1970's. Both sides were produced by Tony Clarke who was also responsible for producing all of the amazing albums by The Moody Blues such as Nights In White Satin, In Search of The Lost Cord, Days of Future Passed etc etc. History shows that the Band The Fire were " Touted by Sir Paul McCartney" that probably explains why The Beatles Apple Music were involved. This single was bought by me at my local record store Leslie Brown on The High Street, Stockton-On-Tees. One of the many Albums and Singles that I bought that had to be ordered. Of course there were many that I had to queue for on a sometimes rainy Friday Morning, such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones , The Who and The Kinks to name a few. This 1968 Single has received very little play over the 55 years since purchased new. It is Perfectly Flat. There are the usual very minor scratches and there is one embarrassing surface scrape that goes across the grooves of the A side but cannot be heard during playback. The Label, Vinyl sleeve and protective cardboard cover are all in very good condition. Please inspect pictures. From a Smoke Free Pet Free Home.
