Description
These items are from my personal collection, accumulated over a 55-year period. This lot contains both records and sleeves (described separately below). The sleeves have been stored without the records since my original purchase. Records and sleeves are visually graded, by me, based on Goldmine grading standards. I try to grade conservatively.
George Harrison - My Sweet Lord/Isn't It a Pity (US, Record and PS, Apple, 2995) Sleeve Side A is graded G+. Some scuffing around the inner and outer rings, some wrinkling in the center, and some slight bending along the edges and at the corners. Sleeve Side B is graded VG. Some scuffing around the inner/outer rings, but without the wrinkles in the center. Record is graded VG, with a couple of light scratches and some cleanable fingerprints.
George Harrison - Bangla Desh/Deep Blue (US, Record and PS, Apple, 1836) Sleeve Side A is VG+, mainly due to some light wear/scuffing around the inner ring and a wrinkle along the inner label right hand "corner", visible only in angled lighting. Sleeve Side B is also graded VG+, with light scuffing around the inner ring. The record is graded VG+, with a few very light surface scratches and some cleanable fingerprinting.
George Harrison - What Is Life/Apple Scruffs (US, Record and PS, Apple, 1828) Sleeve Side A is graded G+, due to inner- and outer-ring scuffing/discoloration, a couple of small staple holes in the upper left-hand corner, and a bend/wrinkle in the lower corners. Sleeve Side B is also graded G+ for the same reasons. The record is graded Excellent, with some cleanable fingerprints/blemishes.
George Harrison - All Those Years Ago/Writing's On the Wall (US, Record and PS, Dark Horse, DRC 49725) - NOTE THAT THIS IS A SECOND COPY OF THE RECORD/SLEEVE POSTED IN MY OTHER AUCTION. THE PHOTOS ARE OF THIS SECOND COPY. Sleeve Side A is graded Excellent, due to a couple of small wrinkles along the top edge. Sleeve Side B is graded Excellent due to the noticeable glue line yellowing along the left and right edges . This would probably be true even in a Mint copy of this sleeve (part of the manufacturers process). The record is graded M-, with a couple cleanable fingerprints on the vinyl.
George Harrison - Ding Dong; Ding Dong/Hari's On Tour (Express) (US, Record and PS, Dark Horse, 1879) Sleeve Side A and Sleeve Side B are graded VG+ due to some scuffing around the center ring. The record is graded VG+, with a couple of cleanable fingerprints and some surface dust.
The auction starting price is set to primarily cover postage and insurance. I believe in the free market system. My main interest is in getting these items into the hands of a serious collector. The law of supply and demand will take care of the rest.
