Scarce STEREO pressing from 1996! Still sealed!

A wonderful opportunity to own this rare and unplayed jazz recording!

According to Bob Belden's sleeve notes written in 1995, this session may have been recorded to be a 'live' 2-LP set for Blue Note but, for some reason, this set,

recorded at the 'It Club', Hollywood, California on March 6th, 1970, was never released. It was recorded by Dino Lappas and produced by Monk Higgins.

Blue Note Groove Series produced by Michael Cuscuna and Tom Evered, design by Patrick Roques and produced for release by Bob Belden.

Band comprises of: Gene Harris (piano), Henry Franklin, (bass) and Carl Burnett (drums)

Sleeve: In as-new condition and still in it's original factory shrink-wrap! The only defect is a small split in the cellophane at the top-righthand corner, 45mm

along the top edge and 40mm down the vertical edge. All shrink-wrap is still present. Sleeve was made in the U.K. 

Side A: 1. Funky Pullett - 7:40 (Monk Higgins), 2. I'm Still Sad - 8:45 (Gene Harris)   

Side B: 1. Baby Man - 5:20 (Monk Higgins), 2. Love For Sale - 8:00 (Cole Porter), 3. Sittin' Duck - 7:30 (Monk Higgins)

 

This is just one item from my own extensive and eclectic personal collection of music and related bits and pieces which I will be listing over the next few months, or so.

I have been collecting for more than 30 years, so check back regularly to see what other gems I may have unearthed - they won't be listed in any particular order!

 

I am not a dealer, so won't use traditional grading terms but, instead, will describe each item as carefully and honestly as I can with text and photos. Bidders are then free

to form their own opinions. Any apparent marks showing in the photos are reflections or dust, etc., unless otherwise specifically identified. If in doubt, please contact me

with any queries before bidding and I will get back to you promptly with an answer. I will also keep you informed throughout the whole ebay process.

 

All vinyl will be packaged in sturdy cardboard mailers with at least one stiffener and will be despatched within 2 working days of payment being received. PayPal is preferred,
