Background~
From Genesis to Revelation was issued in a black sleeve with its title Inscribed in gothic gold on the top left hand side. With little else to go by, the record shops stacked the LP in the religious sections therefore its initial sales tally was an unbelievably low 650 copies, If that was not rare enough 500 of these were in STEREO format as this had become the preferred format by the very end of the sixties. This means that amazingly only 150 MONO pressings were sold making this one of the scarcest records in existence.
Condition~
Today I am offering probably one of the finest examples left in the world, the vinyl and labels look at least EX+ with only very slight signs of a couple if faint spidery spindle marks otherwise I would say near mint. The vinyl surfaces visually look un-played and are immaculate. Playback is as good as you will hear from any left in existence. This really is a joy to look at and to play.
This is a true archive example with the vinyl looking as the day it was pressed, it really is incredible.
Along with this amazing record comes the original red mono Decca inner sleeve and separate lyric insert which have both been preserved perfectly.
Finally the outer sleeve. This dark black laminated sleeve has a wonderful glossy shine with deep gold lettering and apart from a couple of inevitable creases and ring wear it is in nice condition and has got to grade as EXCELLENT.
Having done extensive research in my opinion this is the finest examples to be sold at auction and one to be missed.
