Description
This is an outstanding copy of their 3rd studio album, Nursery Cryme, by Genesis on the earliest Charisma "Pink scroll" label
The vinyl is clean and shiny, with very little paper scuffing, a strong EX!
Matrix / Runout A-side stamped CAS 1052 A - 1U HILTOP etched
Matrix / Runout B-side stamped CAS 1052 B - 2U JB etched
? 1971 on the labels - which are nice and clean EX++/NM
It comes with a red/white charisma company inner sleeve - this is rare to see as most of them are lost now.
It is in the correct cover, a beautiful textured matt, gatefold, issued by EJ DAY with the original 'scroll logo ' on the inside gatefold. (Later sleeves were printed by Howards ) It is EX/NM - no ringpress marks, just the merest 'nibbbling' on the edges & corners; the spine is excellent.
The album sleeve, painted by Paul Whitehead depicts scenes from "The Musical Box" and Coxhill, the manor house with a croquet lawn, where Peter Gabriel grew up

The album is the first with drummer Phil Collins and guitarist Steve Hackett in the band in addition to singer Peter Gabriel, keyboardist Tony Banks, and bassist Mike Rutherford
Brilliantly imaginitive if slightly eccentric, this album shows Genesis developing their own unique genre of rock. It is an absolute MUST for collectors!!
