GINGER BAKER’S AIRFORCE
2 LPs
Low start!.....NO Reserve!.....NO high priced ‘Buy It Now’.
A double live album recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London, on 15 January 1970. Formed by ex-Cream drummer Ginger Baker after the split of the short-lived ‘super-group’ Blind Faith, Air Force played a heavy fusion-rock. Killer Hammond / Guitar / twin-horn riffs! The Gatefold Sleeve for this album were made reversed, with the main picture on the back. First photo shows the back.
Albums featuring Graham Bond and Harold McNair are hard to come by so this double album is a welcome find.
The unlaminated sleeve (like most!) has a little edge wear, and spine wear. But that’s all. There’s a scuff in the back but no rips,splits or writing.
Both records are near excellent and show little sign of play. They sound fine. I have played both records and apart from a usual little crackle on the run-in there’s no problems. I don’t think you will be disappointed with records.
