Title:  “BACH:  THE GOLDBERG VARIATIONS”

Label:   COLUMBIA MASTERWORKS.  Label is gray with black text, “6 eye” logo.  Mono pressing on medium weight vinyl with deep groove.  Catalog number is ML 5060. 

Matrix numbers are:  XXLP35696-4E / XXLP35697-3A.

Condition: 

DISC:  Record displays 100% of original brilliant gloss, has been played a very small number of times and handled with care.  Would grade NM except for a couple small, light scuffs at the beginning of Side 1 which are for the most part cosmetic.  There is one noticeable tic at approximately 2:00 into the side, otherwise the entire side plays cleanly with the exception of two or three isolated very soft, almost unnoticeable soft tics.  A lovely playing copy.

I have included a sound file of the first 3 minutes of Side 1 so you can hear the affected portion of the track and see that it plays enjoyably.  (No sound modification software has been used – what you hear is what you will get, guaranteed!)

All in all, a superb example of a brilliant performance on the original vinyl!   

JACKET:  Jacket and cardboard inner sleeve are overall very fine with no major issues.   Panels are clean and bright.  Seams are intact except for a small split (approximately one inch) at top right corner opening.  Seams display a bit of minor shelf wear and a few tiny chips.  Reverse has darkened a bit with age.  No writing or stickers.  Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the fine disc.
