Goldberg Variations Analog Collection
One year before the legendary debut album--all of Gould's earliest Goldberg songs, which are still recorded today.
Gould's debut recording of the Goldberg Variations in June 1955. Gould had played this variation several times in concert before that, but the recording left was on this disc in June 1954, when he appeared on the radio program of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Only the recording of the live broadcast at that time. Gould himself made a disk recording for his own audition and recording, and was discovered among his belongings after his death.
In front of the microphone for live broadcasting, Gould's appearance without being overwhelmed is recorded in detail. Gould has become synonymous with Gould's high performance skills as a pianist, the splendid craftsmanship of the individuality of each of the 30 variations, and the firmness of the overall composition that wraps them in the aria that is wildly thrown and da capo at the end. The high affinity with the Goldberg Variations is highlighted. World's first LP.
