QUILL, GREG AND COUNTRY RADIO ALBUM: FLEETWOOD PLAIN LABEL: World Record Club R02351 STEREO/MONO: Stereo YEAR: 1971/1975 COUNTRY: Australia CONDITION: RECORD: Very Good ++ SLEEVE: Very Good + (gum mark bottom left) (Grading system is per US "Osborne's Official Price Guide” book and is predominantly visual but records normally played also) NOTES: Maybe Australia's 1st country rock record and a fine one at that with backing from Pirana amongst many others (including Chris Duffy on mandolin and fiddle). This the record club release which has alternate artwork and label but the run-out matrix are the same as the Harvest release, so probably pressed from the same plates. Original release 1971 - WRC edition c1975. Review: A superb folk/acoustic album which introduced Australia to the superb songs of Greg. Though a little different from his later releases which evolved into electric country-rock, this takes nothing away from the quality of his writing. However despite the credit it is in fact a solo album and was recorded before there was a band called Country Radio. On the album he is backed by John Walsh (bass), Chris Blanchflower (harmonica) as well as members of Pirana before they recorded their own classic albums. The first touring lineup of Country Radio formed in June 1970 and included both John & Chris, who's harmonica would go on to become an integral part of the band's sound over the next 3 years.

NOTES:
- I take care in packaging but if you are worried about breakage then I encourage insurance which is available at standard Australia Post rates. Feel free to ask for cost.
- Packaging on LP vinyl records is in custom made CARDBOARD boxes or TOUGH envelopes with cardborad backing for 45s.
- Books, tapes and DVDs are sent in tough envelopes.
- Packaging on all else in in bubble wrap, foam paper, paper in tough bags or boxes where applicable.
- Payment is expected within 7 days of auction end.
