Description
The 2 boxed set contains 19 LPs and detailed commentary on the singers, the plot and libretto for each of the four operas. They were recorded between 1958 and 1965 and remain one of the best interpretations of this magnificent opera.
There is also a 3 LP Introduction plus notes written by Derrick Cooke.
The set is a reissue of the original Decca recording.
