A compilation of 26 instrumental tracks from the guitar players for SONIC YOUTH, DINOSAUR JR., BIG BLACK, GALAXIE 500, SPACEMEN 3, BUTTHOLE SURFERS and 20 others.

Imagine a compilation of some of the best indie rock guitar players from the late '80s and early '90s performing strictly guitar instrumentals, no bass, drums or vocals. That is precisely what you'll find on the compilation Guitarrorists released by No.6 Records in 1991. Featuring a veritable who's who of underground guitar players from the time period, the album delivers a wide variety of experimental guitar soundscapes. Through the echo chamber ambient drone of Thurston Moore's "Blues for Space Girl" to the poppy acoustic/electric buildup of J. Mascis' "A Little Ethnic Song" and the face-pealing distortion of Paul Leary's "Fillipé Mepelpeepe," the listener is transported on a note-bending psychedelic journey of the audible senses. Other tracks range from Marc Gentry's classical acoustic-style fingerpicking on "Mariposa" to the explosive squealing feedback of Helios Creed's spaced out backwards guitar on "Green Volcano." All 26 tracks fit together perfectly and should excite the sonic palate of anyone looking for a different take on guitar music.

We offer combined shipping on all LPs / 12" Vinyls: our shipping rates are listed above. HOWEVER shipping packages that weigh more than 2kg is VERY expensive. Therefore we can only offer combined shipping up to a maximum of SEVEN (7) LPs / 12" vinyls. Any extra purchases will be invoiced, packaged and shipped separately.

PAYMENT

I would appreciate payment within seven days of the auction’s end. If you want to bid on more of my auctions ending a week later please inform me. I will wait and issue a combined invoice at the close of the second week’s auctions.

However, I am no longer willing to carry combined transactions beyond two weeks and in these cases would appreciate payment promptly after the close of the second week’s auctions.

I am sorry to have to introduce these measures – I always try to be patient and allow buyers to bid on extra auctions and / or delay payment. Unfortunately some buyers have been stretching out transactions to unacceptable lengths so I feel I have no option but to limit ‘carried over’ transactions to two weeks.
