Description
This is a fine original US pressing copy of the debut LP by British psych outfit Hapshash and the Coloured Coat, released in 1967. Hapshash were first and foremost a printing and design shop; the music on offer here (with backing provided by Art, the band that soon after morphed into Spooky Tooth) is basically a collection of loose jams, including a side-long track with some Hare Krishna chanting on the B side ("Empires of the Sun") -- definitely a period piece, but an enjoyable one, and groundbreaking in its day. The jacket has light ring, corner, spine, and seam wear (EX). The disc has some hairline scrapes and light scuffing/loss of glossiness, and plays with light surface noise in some places -- EX(+). The record comes with the original label inner sleeve.
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
