strangest work ever by John Cann!
while touring in Germany and Belgium, the band crashed their Zodiac, leaving Cann in an Ostende hospital for a week and Paul Hammond laid up for a month with a badly smashed and broken leg
(the car never recovered)
seething with rage and frustration at the incipient ‘glam’ scene, so cruelly sounding the death knell for progressive rock, Cann and John Gustafson seemed determined to have fun anyway - so Hard Stuff created this bizarre cocktail of piss-takes, piracy and partying
the title gives a clue as to what was on Cann’s mind - no doubt wanting to puke every time Marc Bolan showed his chubby face on TV
once you get used to the direction taken by the trio (it’s about as far away from Atomic Rooster as you can get) it becomes hilariously memorable, madly entertaining and totally f***cking brilliant
