"Affectionate Fink" by Harold McNair with Ornette Coleman's Sidemen
Here we have it! The original UK pressing of this very rare and much sought after LP. This was Harold McNair's first UK album as a leader. Note the incorrect spelling of McNair's name throughout and of Alan Branscombe's on the front cover. There are 6 tracks, 4 Standards, including "Here's That Rainy Day" which became a regular at McNair's gigs, a Brazilian tune and the title track, a Blues writen by McNair. McNair is in fine form, not overawed at all by the illustrious company. Multi-instrumentalist Branscombe was one of the most reliable musicians on the UK Jazz scene of the day and plays piano here. David Izenson (bass) who contributed 3 stunning solos and drummer Charles Moffett really drive things along. Recorded in October 1965 during the Ornette Coleman Trio's visit to Europe, it was one of the early releases on Island Records.

Textured deep grooved label.
Laminated flipback sleeve is in excellent condition.
The record is in near mint condition.
