HECTOR - Bye Bye Bad Days 7" ONE SIDED APPLE ACETATE ( Beatles )

For auction is this 7" single sided acetate probably dating from 1974 of the track 'Bye Bye Bad Days' by Portsmouth based Glam Rock band Hector. Th single was released on DJM Records in June 1974 but failed to trouble the charts making it a collectible amongst Glam fans.

A brief search on Popsike reveals that there were many different acetates from the Apple mastering machine based in Apple Studios and this one hasn't appeared for sale before. Presumably the results of a recording session at Apple Studios were pressed on dub plate for the A&R department. From the lists of artists appearing on Apple Corps acetates, it would seem that DJM records were regular users of the studios.

The acetate grades visually as VG+ but plays with background noise (as do most acetates with more than 5 plays).
