with original poster
Stereo - Dawn DNLD4001
Very rare folk/rock double album from Donovan complete with the original poster which is usually missing from this album. This is a first pressing on the Dawn record label.
Some first pressings were on red Dawn labels and some on lilac coloured labels. I have seen several copies of the red labels over the past 30 years but very few copies with the lilac labels.
It has the 1st press Howards Printers (Slough) Ltd gatefold sleeve & 1st pressing matrices:-

Vinyl
The vinyl is very good. It has not been played for many years and would benefit from a clean. Light feathering but no serious scratches – surface marks only. Played fine last I time I played (10 years ago) but I guess there will be some minor crackle/hiss as there always is with LPs that are this old and have been played.
Cover
The cover is very good+. The only blemish is a sticker scuff on the front cover which prevents me from giving it an excellent rating. No doodles/writing. The spine is straight with minimal wear. In fact, there is hardly any wear at all other than minor bumping at the corners. It still has the original circular price label on the front. This can be removed if required with white spirit but I think it adds to the enjoyment of the LP to have the original sticker in place.
Labels
Lilac coloured labels in excellent condition.
Poster
The poster has three panels that are the size of 3 x 12” LP covers. There are no tears or rips along the folds. It has one tiny hole in the top left corner. No stains or other disfiguring marks. The rear of the poster has a slight brown stain in one corner but this does not affect the front of the poster at all. Considering this is now 36 years old, it has held up really well.
