HORACE SILVER – THE STYLINGS OF SILVER – BLUE NOTE 1562 – VG+ - 47 WEST 63 RD NYC – MONO
Recorded at the Van Gelder studio on May 8, 1957, this Blue Note session features Horace Silver on piano, Art Farmer on piano, Hank Mobley on tenor, Teddy Kotick on bass and Louis Hayes on drums. SIDE 1: NO SMOKIN’; THE BACK BEAT and SOULVILLE. SIDE 2: HOME COOKIN’; METAMORPHOSIS and MY ONE AND ONLY LOVE. The label reads “47 West 63rd NYC” and the record jacket reads 47 West 63rd St, New York 23” There is an “ear” stamp and a “RVG” stamp on both sides in the vinyl. This is a Mono recording
I have rated this LP as VG+ for the following reasons. Side 1 has a mark on Cut 2, which has a very slight pop when played. Otherwise, the vinyl is clean. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The record jacket is in excellent condition, with very little sign of wear.
