Description
The Har-You Percussion Group (Oro 1969). Ultra-rare original white label Oro-5 press of this legendary latin jazz record. A stone cold classic. The light bulb reveals light non-feelable hairline scratches, some heavy sleeve scuffs, and a lot of heavy sleeve marks. When I found this record it's paper inner sleeve had turned brown with age and was almost stuck to the vinyl. The paper sleeve was creased in several spots and once I removed it those crease marks had left behind sleeve marks on the vinyl. Seems like this record was probably played a few times and then filed away and forgotten. I've played this record all the way through and these classic tracks play strong VG+. When the music mellows out you can hear a few scattered light tics and some crackle/groove noise, but when these classic tunes rev up and take off the music comes through strong. The first track on both sides have noisy introductions that cease and desist once the grooves kick in. There's a slight storage edge warp that tracks fine. Visually the record grades as VG+ and overall it plays strong VG+. The spine, labels, and back cover state Oro-5. The deadwax run-off grooves read: ESPS 1067 A SS and ESPS 1067 B SS. The cover grades as a strong VG+ with worn and knocked corners, a few brown age stains, some light overall wear, and some mild seam and spine wear.
Grade Scale: EX, VG++, VG+, VG, G, Poor. All records are play-graded, observed under a light bulb, and checked for warps.
Songs: Feed Me Good, Barret's Bag, Ngoma, Qua-Train, Welcome To The Party, Santa Cruz, Tico.
